Upcoming Events: Annual User Meeting 2010
Registration for 2010 User Meeting to close on August 31
The deadline to register for the 2010 CNMS User Meeting is rapidly approaching so please take a moment now to go to the meeting website, choose the events you’d like to attend, and then register right away. Posters should also be registered by August 31 – please see the link on the meeting website or click here.
The CNMS User Meeting this year will be part of a weeklong series of events during the week of September 13-17, 2010, that is being billed as “ORNL Users Week.” The main CNMS event will be on Tuesday, September 14, when the CNMS will host a full day of plenary and user presentations on nanoscience research followed by a user poster session and the popular Ridgedance Nanoscience Film Festival. The CNMS User Group will have its annual “town hall” meeting at 12:30pm that day where you will hear about the past year’s activities of your User Executive Committee and have a chance to give them your input on future plans for the CNMS.
Wrapped around the CNMS User Meeting will be a 2-day program on Solar Energy and Energy Storage, September 13-14, and three CNMS-sponsored workshops on September 15-17 on the topics of “Scanning Probe Microscopy for Energy Applications,” “Next Generation Force Fields for Nanoscience,” and “Organic Photovoltaics.”
Attendance at any or all of the above Users Week events is covered by a single registration. Click here for an overview of the weeklong schedule.
Please make plans now to attend some or all of ORNL Users Week 2010, and especially the CNMS User Meeting session on Tuesday, September 14.
